Bring on Aswan

Our Bring on Aswan tour package from Aswan to Luxor is our shortest Nile Cruise tour. It is a 3-night, 4-day excursion aboard a 5-Star, all-inclusive cruise ship. Whether you are a solo traveler or a small group or family you are welcome to book this tour. Your private tour guide will meet you at the Aswan airport and you'll hit the ground running as you pack in as much sightseeing as possible. You will see all of the spectacular temples and tombs located in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor. This tour is very popular for travelers who have a limited amount of time for a Nile Cruise and want to dedicate their time to exploring the ancient wonders built along the Nile by the powerful dynasties of the past.

*During the Nile Cruise you will have the option to go on a sunrise hot air balloon ride while in Luxor. Please note that if you want to see Abu Simbel, you must book your flight to arrive in Aswan one day ahead of your Nile Style Nile Cruise Tour. Please let us know if you want to add that as an option and we can make all the arrangements for a guide, hotel, and travel accommodations for you.

Day 1.
Arrival Day. You will need to arrive at the Aswan airport by 12:00pm noon. Your guide will meet you at the Aswan airport and take you on an excursion to the Temple of Philae. Afterwards, you will board your Nile cruise ship and enjoy a midday meal. You will have free time in the evening so you can arrange to have your tour guide accompany you on more excursions, or you can go exploring the city of Aswan on your own. You are also welcome to stay and relax on the cruise ship and enjoy your evening meal and the sunset from the deck. Everyone must be back on the cruise ship by 10:00pm!

Popular Options in Aswan include: the Nubian Museum, the Unfinished Obelisk, the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel for fine dining and shopping for upscale souvenirs, Aswan Museum on Elephantine Island, Aswan Botanical Garden, Shopping at the Aswan Market along the Nile.

Optional: Nubian Village $45/person includes a Felucca boat ride through the Cataracts of the Nile + an optional 30-minute camel ride.

Day 2.
Through the night you’ll be sailing up the Nile arriving in the morning at Kom Ombo (Hill of Gold). Here you will visit the unique double temples of the Crocodile God, Sobek and the Falcon God, Haroeris. Afterwards, we will continue to sail on towards Edfu. We will visit the Temple of the Falcon God, Horus which is considered to be the best preserved ancient temple and the second largest after the temple of Karnak. We will then sail to Esna passing through the Esna Lock canal system and on through the night to Luxor.

Day 3. 
Optional: Hot Air Balloon Ride $125/person to watch the sunrise over the city of Luxor. Departure time is 4:00AM for a 1-hour ride.

We will start our day on the east side of the Nile at the extraordinary Karnak Temple followed by the Colossi of Memnon, and Luxor Temple. In the afternoon we will see the sites on the west side of the Nile which includes: Hatshepsut’s Temple, and the Valley of the Kings tombs. 

Day 4.
From this point, it will be time to bid Egypt goodbye (until next time!) Your guide will accompany you to the Luxor airport to catch your departure flight. But, seriously, keep in mind that there’s a reason for the famous saying, “Once you drink from the Nile, you are destined to return!” And, we hope you will!

*Optional: Even though this is our shortest Nile Cruise Tour, you may want to consider arriving to Aswan one day earlier so that you can go to Abu Simbel, $110/person for a 3-hour bus ride (3 hours there + 3 hours back) or $325/person for 1-hour round trip flights. Please specify if you would like to add this extra day excursion to Abu Simbel to your tour.
